Car Door Unlocking Coppull

Getting locked out of your car is frustrating, especially when you’re in a hurry. Whether you’re dropping the kids off at school, heading to work or just trying to get home from the shops, you’ll want to your car unlocked as quickly as possible.

We unlock cars in Coppull and the surrounding area, carrying all the tools needed to open a wide range of vehicles.

It’s surprisingly easy for modern vehicles to just lock themselves automatically with the keys inside. In this situation we would use non-destructive entry to unlock your car and retrieve the key from inside. In this situation no further work is needed and the existing key and locks will function as normal.

If we need to gain access to your vehicle because you have lost the key, we start with the same method of gaining entry but would then need to cut and programme you a new key in order for you to be able to start the vehicle.

Car Key Programming

All modern vehicles use some form of transponder chip within the remote fob. This is what talks directly to the car’s immobiliser, so a replacement key has to be programmed correctly or the engine won’t start. We handle this using the same level of diagnostic and programming equipment used by dealerships, but at a fraction of the cost and without the wait.

We can usually complete the job at your home, workplace, or roadside anywhere in Coppull.

Spare Vehicle Keys

Spare car keys don’t often get a second thought. You buy a car with one key and don’t think about what happens if that key stops working or gets lost.

Creating a working car key without an original key to copy from is a much more involved process, and this comes with additional expense. We always recommend getting a spare car key made before it’s too late.

When making a spare car key, we can duplicate what you already have. We cut the key blade from the existing key and use specialist software and equipment to read the chip, allowing us to program the new key. This is usually a fairly quick process.

If you wait until all your car keys have been lost, the job becomes more complicated. Depending on the vehicle, we may need to decode the door locks, work out the key bitting and cut a new key from the information obtained. We then use specialist equipment to access the vehicle’s onboard computer and program the data into the new key.

This takes considerably longer than making a spare from an existing key, so the cost is usually higher too.
